Prepare for the possibility of heavy rainfall and localized flooding. Additionally, a Wind Advisory is in effect for Thursday and Friday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Flood Emergency Preparedness &amp; Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key tips to stay safe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IF YOU ARE UNDER A FLOOD WARNING, FIND SAFE SHELTER RIGHT AWAY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Do not<\/strong> walk, swim, or drive through flood waters. <strong><em>Turn Around, Don\u2019t Drown!<\/em><\/strong><ul><li>Just six inches of moving water can knock you down, and one foot of moving water can sweep your vehicle away.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Stay off of bridges over fast-moving water.<\/li><li>Determine how best to protect yourself based on the type of flooding.<ul><li>Evacuate if told to do so.<\/li><li>Move to higher ground or a higher floor.<\/li><li>Stay where you are.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Make sure you are signed up for SoCoAlert in case there is an evacuation issued for your area, <a href=\"https:\/\/socoemergency.org\/get-ready\/sign-up\/\">https:\/\/socoemergency.org\/get-ready\/sign-up\/<\/a>.<\/li><li>Never, ever touch a downed power line or go near one. Power lines are not insulated like power cords.
